I just stepped out to ogle it. Looks about the same, really. But this evening before dark it looked unusually enormous rising. My guess, best time to catch it will be upon it rising (should be shortly after dark here) tonight (Sat.). Thanks for the heads up.

Correct....the best view is of it rising.

Hubby and I are headed to the beach to watch it. I've seen one of these before and it's awesome.

Moon will rise just before 8PM on the east coast.

2029 is the next one this good, 17 years from now!

11:34 pm the earf moon ans sun line up perfectly for maximum brightness, but at its rising right after sunset will look huge......partly cloudy here :(

We went to the beach to watch it. Good grief...there was soooooooooo many people there and one guy had a camera on a tripod and he was filming it.

We had a pink sunset so the moon was pink as it rose from the ocean and just as the sun was setting, the moon turned yellow.

It was absolutely stunning.

I just went outside and it's so bright and we were so lucky to have clear skies down here.

Glad I went because I doubt I'll be here for the next one. :cry:
