After recently graduating from the liberal institution of higher education we like to call college and living among liberals I just have to say thank GOD for Ann Coulter!!! I read this book and laughed so hard all the way through and then I got down on my knees and thanked the man upstairs for bringing us some good literature.

I apologize for my over enthusiastic post, but its so good to read the truth, and discuss things with people who actually know what they're talking about.

I heart the GOP! :)

I've had the book as soon as it came out. My daughters have known the "go-to" gift for awhile now.

However, I've not found any other of Ann's books on cd. I've found the "How to..." cd a great way to get me out of a somber mood as well as convenient listening when taking a liberal co-worker to lunch. :arg:

Any word on "Godless" on cd?

I took the easy way out because I'm sometimes too busy to read for pleasure and listened to the book on CD with Ann reading it. It was like having Ann in the car with me riding around talking about liberals. I found excuses to go for rides just to listen to more conservative wisdom as only Ann can put it! Great!

In how to speak to a liberal, etc., Ann mentions a certain woman who came to give a lecture about "hate crimes" to a college audience. For some reason, she mentions that this speaker was Catholic, as well as being a liberal and a fake. What was the purpose of this? Why didn't she mention that Clinton, Carter, or any other number of liberal proponents were protestant or Jewish? Unless there's a bias at work, I can't figure out why she would single out Catholics. In another of her books, "Treason" it might be, she refers to some liberal bum as being "not uncoincidentally Catholic," or words to that effect. As a conservative, and a Catholic, I have to ask, Hey, what's the deal here?

Hello everyone! I am new here, and unfortunately have only read Ann's columns. However, the first book that I am probably going to get around to reading the upcoming one, the "If Democrats had any Brains, They'd be Republicans." Some of my interests include the economic and social problems caused by illegal immigration and the myths concerning gun control. Thank you!

Yeah, you wouldn't want to talk to a liberal, would you? You might hear something... well... intelligent.

Exactly how many more decades for this theoretical intelligent something we may hear from liberals do we have to wait? :sheesh:

Are you always this blatantly insulting? I haven't read one thing that you have posted that read intelligently. In other words, you seemed quite uninformed. How do you know that I wouldn't want to talk to you? How presumptuous of you. I am not the almighty namer of Ann's books. Sorry if you ordained me as her.

Did freethinkingliberal honestly think that I came here to talk to liberals? Actually, I came here to speak to logical people. So sue me!

Actually, I'm hoping that freethinking, etc. will reply, as I myself would like to kick some left wing posterior in the world of ideas.

As we can all see, freethinkingliberal has provided us with an example of how not to be logical. Notice how he/she hasn't even responded to my comment. Typical.

Alas, way too typical that free etc. hasn't replied. Maybe he-or she, is looking up something that Al Franken said that might maybe be pertinent to what we've said...NOT!

Liberals are not completely Godless and ignorant like some suggest, but 99.9% is a good clue.

I have to agree with you about Ann Coulter being funny as hell.... but you have to be careful cause you'll get to laughing so hard at what she says about liberals you risk having an aneurysm.

I think that chapter is in this book....anyway, it reveals thoughts that are truly insightful...I wonder how (in what way) she means the part about the connection between God and good people in this world ie., does she believe it really? ( I would suspect she does), and its fundamental import of God's meaning for us, and how we should live our lives with honest work.

I'm about half way through the book, it's one of the best books I have read. At some of the quotes, I couldn't help but chuckle, Each page I read, I grow more and more attached to Ann and look up to her. It shows her true patriotism, and finally we have a conservative with a great deal of courage. I admire this. God Bless the West and our troops this Christmas.

Read this book while on vacation in Miami. Great to read by the pool in the sun and pick up women. It actually sparked some conversations, good and bad. The ones who made real catty comments were democrats.

I'm new to this board I've listened to HTTL and Godless while driving. Audio CDs do make the time seem to go by faster. I plan on ordering and reading the books to make my experience complete. I really like Ann for the most part but I don't necessarily agree with all her comments in Godless about animal welfare or recycling. She eats liberals for lunch. She hits sensitive subjects but she supports nearly everything with facts, albeit facts that I have yet to personally corroborate. I find her very refreshing in a world with a mainstream media that's "looney left." Listening to her books on audio CD has made me even more politically conservative than ever and has made me despise liberals more than I ever have. From what I've heard so far, I'd recommend her books to everyone.

I'm a great one for listening to audio books in the car as well; I have a long commute sometimes and it passes in no time when I've got a good book on the CD player. I thought I might get this one from Ann; I'll have to order it from America though because I don't think I can get it from Amazon's Brit site. (There's no problem using Amazon dot com from the UK.)

I expect everyone who particpates in this forum does so to express that Ann is a Goddess or that she is Satan incarnate.
I tend to fall into the earlier cateogry but I do have a cirticism. I just started the audio book "How to talk to a liberal..." read by the Author (Ann). My God! does she talk fast! About the time I am absorbing one idea she has covered two more.

I probably will have to go buy the book to catch up with all I've missed. Maybe that was her plan all along :-)

This book is without a doubt a classic and recommended first reading. Ms. Coulter's unique wit and in depth understanding of the liberal left makes it difficult to put down. Not only is this a great book for your conservative friends but highly recommended reading for those who have not yet seen the light or a surprise present for those on the left. :)

Having read all of Ms. Coulter's books, I would say that this is one of my favorites. I think it has the most humor and is not quite as scary as some of the others. All in all an absolutely fantastic book!

Here's a link to a thread on her documentary called "Is It True What They Say About Ann?". Great DVD!

Agreed. This was my first Ann Coulter read, and I definately consider myself fortunate. This was also my first political book of any kind. Before seeing this book, I had never even heard of Ann Coulter.

So is How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must)
a guide on how to be fake nice to liberals?
If it's not Palin needs to write a book on being fake nice to liberals because she is so good at it, granted Romney could write a book on being a fake, but Palin's book would be better because it would also cover being fake nice to faux conservatives.
That'd be a very useful skill as this god-forsaken planet is infested with liberals.
I plan to buy a copy of all her books eventually, so I guess the question is would this be the book to buy first?
The first book of Ann's I read was Slander: Liberal Lies About the American Right
it sure explained their talking points (or rather lack there of) very well.
Ann has a talent of being able to expalin things to dumb people (leftists), like when Rush said, "I Hope Obama Fails", Ann had to clarify to leftists that Rush meant odumba's policies although BO's policies are part of who he is & leftists are just to dumb to understand that.

Love the book, but I'm sorry, there is no way in hell I will talk to a liberal if I can possibly help it. They're like reptiles -- you can't reason with them. I'd rather bed Michael Moore than speak to a liberal. What am I saying?! Okay, with a couple of caveats: (1) it's a two-second encounter; (2) I can wear a blindfold. No wait, even better, I'm unconscious.

Welcome, HighIQ.

Aside from the occasional sport of slapping a liberal upside the head with some logic, you're right: It's better to let them fester alone.

As for many here, this was the first Coulter book I read. My son gave it to my husband, who passed it along to his nephew in Europe, then it made it's way back to the states and now it will be returning home this year for Christmas. Everyone it was passed to was required to sign it and comment. Many bought their own copies and have been following her ever since. One of the few books we've loaned out that is making it's way back. Thank you Ann!

I will downloading 'Demonic' on my Kindle Fire, for all to share while they are visiting.
